What does Limited Edition Print mean?
‘Limited’ when referring to a print means that the number of copies
to be made of any one image is limited to the number chosen when it
is first published.
After the first print of an image is made signed and numbered it can not ever be changed thereafter
The
Limited edition number is written in pencil usually in the bottom right
hand corner with the artists signature 1/500, 2/500, 3/500.... etc
My prints are almost all Limited Editions
The edition sizes used to vary from 1/100 to 1/500 - at the moment I am making 1/750 of new prints published
There are a few tiny editions of 1/5, 1/25 and 1/75
For example - 'The Waiting' - set of 6 prints is a Limited Edition of only 1/75 !
