Eight plus Twelve Jars

FRUSTRATION
He can see what he wants, but he can’t have it!

SEVERE FRUSTRATION
Not only can he see what he wants, but the tools he needs to break the glass and get what he wants are outside the jar.

MIND OVER MATTER
You can use your mind to escape from the jar. You can study and learn to levitate out of the jar.
You can use your mind to study, get a highly paid job and increase both your social and economic standing.

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE
If you wait long enough you will float out. Outside forces may take a hand. You could win the lottery or inherit a fortune

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
They already have four
children, she is pregnant, one more child and they can climb out. If you can’t
succeed on your own, form a union or join a co-operative.

ESCAPE THRU’ THE ARTS
Some people can learn to sing a high C and crack the glass. Or while remaining in your jar you can escape in to a good book or be transported to a desert island, complete with palms. Personally when I listen to my favourite music I could be on a different planet!

TO BE DIFFERENT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY
Being different , whether it be your colour, handicap or simply your eccentricity, which, by the way is only being different from the norm, can make one feel imprisoned by circumstances.
It is not easy.

LOVE HAS NO BARRIERS
This is just me being the eternal romantic. But love does have no boundaries, whether it be love for another person, ones country or another way of life, if the love is strong enough then there is nothing and no one it cannot overcome. Love is eternal.

WISH YOU WERE HERE
A lot of people are very happy to be where they are, whether it be away on holidays or at home in the garden – With the sun shining as it seems just for them.

HOME SWEET HOME
There is nothing nicer than to be at home, with your family, in your home which is just the way you want it!

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL
Hope in itself, is what makes al lot of people happy.
Even if things are not as you would want them, the hope that tomorrow things may change – This hope makes them keep trying – just one more time. Maybe……………….

THE DEVIL YOU KNOW….
Perhaps your life is not as bad as it may sometimes seem. If it were to change, would it then be even worse

ANOTHER MAN’S GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER
It does not matter how nice your garden might be, there is always one which is much bigger and much better. The more you have the more you want.
Some people are never happy.

PUTTING BACK THE PIECES
When your world falls apart it can be quite difficult to put it back together the way it was.
Some of the pieces may no longer be there.
But with enough time and enough glue……………..

I WANT TO BE ALONE
Some people have everything! And yet they lock themselves away, whether it be a teenager in the family wanting ”To be left alone”, a multi-millionaire becoming a total recluse or you- just wanting some time out.

LEAVING HOME
Leaving a home is not quite leaving ‘everything’ behind, but more like us moving our jar to a different location. We have new outside pressures, but most of our possessions and our basic jar goes with us when we go.

Leadership

Raw power exists in untold abundance
within the elements of our world
One of Mankind’s greatest powers is imagination
The ability to take a jump into the unknown
To have faith and trust in ourselves
To seek and find out what lies
beyond the end of knowledge
Harnessing these powers
Unifying and leading them
in an inspired direction –
has been and still is the road to our futures
Leadership is essential to progress

Getting to the top

This drawing is a light-hearted look at getting to the ”top”
which to most of us means happiness
or at least the wherewithal to be happy
Work is usually needed but
there are many ways of getting up
You could get a job in a large organisation
as represented here
by a pyramid of people
lots of rising levels but
only room for one at the top
Or join an organisation
where duration of employment
allows access to the top – one step at a time
represented here by ladders
Why not create a Partnership
Two or more can join together
and help each other up
represented here by three people
and a pulley system
Perhaps a son following a father to the next level
pulled up by workers
Invent something and let “It”
take you to the top!
Or start your own business
represented here by the person wearing suction cups
(Not just a good idea but lots of hard work as well)
Be catapulted to the top
Win the lottery or become a Film/Pop Star
Fight your way up with hard work and dedication
be a sports person represented here as a rock climber
some even carry hangers-on
family/Coach get a free ride!
Others fight alone
Some are born at the top represented here
by the helicopter of a self-made man
depositing his children at the top
or by a pregnant woman
representing Family Wealth/Royalty
Inevitably some fall by the wayside
thru’ tiredness or accident
Bribery is not uncommon,
jumping the queue, blackmail,
extortion even murders do happen!
But break the law and you will get caught
– eventually –
as is the person with his back to the wall
people asking questions
and waving papers at him!
Others stay on the ground always only
planning what to do……..some day……soon
Often when a comfortable level is found
people stop and stay there
Some people even decide that the top
is not where they want to be
There are more important things in life
than success or wealth
Remember
If you spend your life working to attain
or maintain wealth/success and fail
or even if you succeed
When do you enjoy life?
Was it worth it?
Don’t forget – work does not stop
when you get to the top
Staying up there
becomes the problem
Of course for some it is the “climb”
which makes them happy!!!

The Four Seasons set of 4

Spring
In spring everyone wakes up those in the topsoil uncurl themselves and move down to the subsoil and join others there who are waking up from their winter sleep.
Together they start moving up through the roots – into the trunk and steadily up through the branches
to form tiny new baby leaves
Momentum is building up
for the rush of summer

Summer
In Summer activity is frantic – Everyone is awake and full of energy
The new leaves made in spring grow quickly
Movement from the topsoil to the subsoil is hurried
as they join long queues waiting impatiently to get into the roots
movement up though the trunk and the branches is fast and excited
The leaves on the branches quickly reach maturity

Autumn
In Autumn the mature leaves of summer turn colour and begin to fall
They join those already in the topsoil and begin settling themselves into place for winter
Movement from the topsoilis slow – almost stopped
Nearly all energy is spent.
Most of those in the subsoil
are getting ready to sleep
while the few entering the roots and those already in the trunk and the branches are preparing for winter
There is little movement
except for leaves falling…..

Winter
Winter – All the branches are bare
The leaves which fell in Autumn have settled into the topsoil
the subsoil is asleep
All movement has stopped
Those in the roots, trunk and branches prepare for the long cold winter
by wrapping their arms around themselves and huddling together
Everyone waits for Spring

Practice makes perfect

You climb into one of the cannons
You get shot across the ravine
And hope to fly straight through
the ”Opening” which represents “Success”
On the other side are all your dreams and aspirations
You may be lucky first time
but if you fail you go splat against the rock face!
and fall down to the ground
– now –
if you really want to succeed
you pick yourself up and try again
and again and again  …….
until with enough practice you will achieve your goal
Practice does make perfect

One moment in time

If Mankind is all people who ever existed
Then this drawing is meant to be a cross section
thru’ mankind at One Moment in Time
The Map has three parts
The Outside Edge – The Middle – The Inside Edge

The Outside Edge – is made up of people who have made a difference to our Physical world
For example – Someone – at one moment in time must have been the first to make Fire and there WAS a day when the first wheel turned – In our own era the atom was split and telecommunications have reached such a level of sophistication that the vast pool of mankind’s knowledge is now readily available to all people everywhere
The Middle – is made up of those milloins of us who exist and only add
our unique personal experiences to the knowledge
The Inside Edge – Is made up of those who shape our Psychic world:-
What we believe – what we like – what makes us happy or afraid
Here the contributors include- Religious Leaders – Great Thinkers – Writers – Artists – Muscisians

My Grandmother was alive before the first telephone was brought to her villiage – she died in the spring of 2000 having seen monumental changes both in what we believe to be truth
and what we can do with the physical knowledge we have gained
This map is to remind us that if you take the development of mankind as a series of steps
Then the difference between mankind’s first ever step and where we are today
Is so immense that what is yet to come is……………………….?

The Web

Imagine your journey through life as a cobweb
Radiating strands make your framework and hold your web in place
You spin your individual pattern in between – Each radiating strand is rooted to something solid
The three main roots which always formed part of all webs are:-
Genetic Background –
Geographical Location and
Education
Roots for the remaining strands can vary greatly – For example Religion – Sport – Work – Vocation – Talent etc…….
The patterns are endless because you are unique – You can choose what is important to you only – but remember our three main strands always influence what options we have to choose from! Such was the ordered system which governed our lives for generations – but it has already begun to change dramatically
The three main strands are no longer a certainty: If one can change the colour of ones skin, the length of ones limbs, remove DNA from genes to avoid inherited disease and be born in a tube to parents who are dead – then how long before genetic background is fully adjustable?
The migration from geographical origins is growing faster with knowledge – those who stayed and suffered within an unfair system now see the option to leave, as well as the option to stay and change that system!
If we can travel faster than the speed of sound and see the back of Mars then “impossible” takes on a new meaning.
Suddenly with access to the vast body of mankind’s knowledge –
The information previously restricted to a few has become accessible to many via radio and tele-communications, the Internet etc……………………………………………….
“Education” now has a completely different meaning – where before you learned from the spoken or written word – now you can see a moving elephant and hear a whale sing.
All possible Einsteins, Picassos or Marie Curies should be able to fulfil their potential – no matter who or where they are!
The World Wide Web is a giant intangible network of information made by and of all peoples and all knowledge everywhere
The most exciting thing is you can use it AND you can also be part of it!
Technically anybody, anywhere, can reach everybody else in the world!
So spin your web – make your website and connect your life to the world!
Use it to gain knowledge –
To communicate –
To buy or to sell!
To fulfil your aspirations!
Technological advances are momentous and every second someone’s life is changed via The Web

The Optimist and the Pessimist

This is the story of one day
in the lives of Mr. Optimist and Mr. Pessimist
They both experience the same events,
have the same job and play the same sport
but their feelings and thoughts
make one an optimist and
the other a pessimist.
For example:- Mr. O. wakes up in the morning
and thinks “Another great day”.
Whereas Mr. P. pulls the covers over his head
and thinks “Just ten more minutes.”
In work Mr. O. feels lucky
to have a good job with prospects
while Mr. P. would rather be at home
“It’s a dead end job anyway.”
Mr. O. plays sport expecting to win
but Mr. P. expects a bad shot very time
Mr. P. greets his future wife with thoughts of
“Ball and chain”
Mr. O. thinks “Bed!”
Mr. O. sees a future full of idyllic summer days
barbecuing in the garden
Mr. P. sees coming home to
seven screaming children and
a wife worn out by housework
Mr. O. walks his fiancee to her flat thinking
“Tonight is my lucky night.”
Mr. P. is sure there is no chance
so he walks his fiancee to her bus stop.

Mr. O.’s last thought before sleep is
“Life really is great”
Mr. P.’s last thought is
“Life really is a bore”
